- Refuse treatment, services, or caregivers (within legal boundaries).
- Make advance directives or designate a medical decision-maker.
- File complaints or express grievances without retaliation or fear of losing services.
- Confidentiality of your protected health information (HIPAA).
- Receive a written explanation of your rights in a language and format you understand.
